Knitwin Fashion was formerly known as Titoni Knitting company. It was established in 1959 by two young aspiring entrepreneurs, Mr. Eswaramurthy.R and Mr. Muthusamy.K.R.
With the textile industry rapidly growing around Tirupur, Mohanasundaram, the son of Mr. Eswaramurthy.R, could see the impact unregulated growth had on his birthplace.
In 1996, when his father retired, Mohanasundaram took over and decided to start producing sustainable textiles and clothing.
In 2012, the company was renamed Knitwin Fashion and four years later, Kavin, the son of Mohanasundaram took over the business.
Since 1996 and more than ever, Knitwin Fashion is committed to embodying the values that are dear to us. Love and respect for all people and for the land we all share.
Since it’s inception, Knitwin Fashion has always been about producing fashion sustainably. The impact of fast fashion are rarely seen as much as in our hometown of Tirupur, Tamil Nadu.
Our fathers grew up here and remember a not so distant past of cleaner rivers and fresher air. We want to get that back for our children.

Most of our team members have been with us since our inception, over 20 years ago. We take care of our team and they take care of us.
However modern our machines and processes might get, fashion manufacturing remains a human affair.
It is our responsibility to shed light on the people behind our clothes and it is our responsibility to protect them from the often shameful working conditions of our industry
Sustainable fashion manufacturing goes hand in hand with ethics. We want to make fashion in respect of our planet and everyone in it. Fashion that works for the people that wear it and for the people that make it.
